Old saws often contain profound wisdom. The problem with them, however, is that the average person is unable to extrapolate, from these bite-sized doses of wisdom, solutions to some of their most pressing questions. Here is one old saw: “He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” The average person almost always recognizes the wisdom in that saying but I dare say does not apply its wisdom in order to solve riddles, like, “How come no one stops the executive’s takeover of this country?"
Let’s add to that wonderful bite-sized dose of wisdom this one from Shakespeare: “Methinks thou doth protest too much.” That well-turned phrase often escapes the average man because it was written using old English. What this particular quote means is that someone who goes overboard to prove to you that they are or are not something, to the point of becoming a caricature of whatever it is they want you to believe they are, should arouse your suspicion. In other words, such a person may be the exact opposite of what they want you to believe.
So let’s apply our wisdom by doing some forensic extrapolation. I’ll begin with this preface: A certain kind of person seeks out power over his fellow man. He is likely to either be, Saint or Satan. Since I am convinced that Saints are fewer in number than even the very few people who really are Saints, I am suspicious of anyone who has a driving passion to control his fellow man. Mind you, I said “control” not persuade.
If a person is a pedophile, someone attracted to other criminal sexual behavior or a drug lord or any of the above, they will, unless they are a Colombian drug lord or an open purveyor of sexual libertinism, they will “become a wolf in sheep’s clothing” in order to cloak their true self from a public that isn’t smart enough to see past the disguise.
Enter a woman known as the D.C. madam. Another preface is in order here: So- called upstanding citizens, who disguise themselves as sheep, are still wolves. These wolves engage in behavior that they must keep secret from the average man who put them into power by voting for their disguise. Most often, these “wolves” are voted into office by using any number of our bite-sized doses of wisdom to fool the average man or woman.
Gay men, for example, if elected to office by conservatives, will be against gay rights, gay marriage. They’ll wear their religion on their sleeve (Methinks thou doth protest too much). They’ll go around preaching, make sure you see them going to mass on Sunday all the while they are trolling the new crop of pages in the House of Representatives and Senate interns like a patron at a Las Vegas whore house. Are you beginning to get the picture? So let’s get back to the story. The D.C. madam is a woman who died mysteriously. Here is a brief summary from Wikipedia:
Deborah Jeane Palfrey (March 18, 1956 – May 1, 2008) (dubbed the D.C. Madam by the news media) operated Pamela Martin and Associates, an escort agency in Washington, D.C. Although she maintained that the company's services were legal, she was convicted on April 15, 2008 of racketeering, using the mail for illegal purposes, and money laundering. Slightly over two weeks later, facing a prison sentence of five or six years, she was found hanged. Autopsy results and the final police investigative report concluded that her death was a suicide.
She knew something that some very powerful men did not want to be revealed. They were her clients, after all. She’s not the only one who made a career of servicing powerful men in Washington D.C. Men of power who are pedophiles, for example, must deal with some VERY shady characters in order to satisfy their lust for little boys or girls.
You may find it surprising, but a LOT of madams, male and female, have scruples and will not service the pedophiles in power by exploiting children. But whether it happens to be men in power who love their cocaine or children or men of power who answer gay sex ads that read “Hot Bottom,” (Actually true) men in power who have something to hide must hide their “friends” unless their constituents come from libertine districts in the U.S.A.
In forensics we often rely upon madams, drug dealers, pimps, prostitutes and other night crawlers to bring down men and women of power. Now what do you think defense lawyers always say when we go after their powerful clients? “You can’t trust a pimp, drug dealer, madam.”
Some of your most conservative, God fearing, rabidly anti-gay pro marriage, long time married power brokers in Washington are exactly the opposite of the disguises they wear so well. Conservative voters, in particular, just love the disguises I just listed. In fact, to challenge the validity of these disguises, like I am now, creates anger among conservatives. I’m not telling conservatives all of your cherished political leaders are wolves in sheep clothing. Others have put the number at 25% or so. I don’t know and if I did I wouldn’t tell if that number is correct or even close. I’m also not saying (to all my linear thinking readers) that progressives are not perverts as well. Perversions of a sexual nature are equal opportunity employers.
Ever wonder about why people in power who had call-boy rings being run out of their Washington Townhome were never removed from their position of power on moral’s charges? Could it be, perhaps, is it possible, that the powerful man I’m referencing knew the 411 on his fellow power brokers who would have to be the ones to prosecute him? “You come after me and I’ll take you down with me.”
How could a person with suspect morals take down an upstanding member of Congress, Senate, Executive or the Judiciary? Now this is the part of this forensic case that you’ll have to solve on your own, not have the solution given to you as it is in CSI. Linear thinkers be advised, you will NOT understand what I am about to tell you.
2+2=4. It always did, it always will. I don’t care if Common Core brainwashes the next 5 generations to believe that 2+2=6, the answer will still be 4! Shakespeare warned us, “Methinks thou doth protest too much” several hundred hears ago. What he told us is still valid today. Next time you wonder, “How can he get away with that? “Why doesn’t someone stop him? “How come the people we voted into office that promised to stop him don’t do anything?” You might apply what you’ve learned from reading this essay. Now go out and solve a crime or two.
